Getting to Tuena
Tuena is a small historic village in regional New South Wales, located between Bathurst and Crookwell, and around 20 minutes from Abercrombie Caves. The town sits on the edge of the Southern Tablelands and the Central West, surrounded by rivers, rolling hills and gold rush history.
Tuena is an easy drive from several major regional centres and makes a great base for exploring the Abercrombie region.

- From Sydney: approx. 285–300 km (around 4–4.5 hours). Common routes are via Bathurst, or via Goulburn and Crookwell.
- From Canberra: approx. 140 km (around 2 hours). Usually via Gunning and Crookwell.
- From Bathurst: approx. 85 km (around 1 hour 15 minutes). A scenic drive via Trunkey Creek.
- From Wollongong: approx. 260–280 km (around 4–4.5 hours). Usually via Goulburn and Crookwell.

- Abercrombie Caves: around 20 km from Tuena. One of the region’s best-known natural attractions and well worth a visit.
- Crookwell: around 45 minutes from Tuena, with supermarkets, fuel, cafes and services for travellers.
